Downloading deegree
1. deegree 3 stable
The official release of deegree 3.1 (Fahrenheit) was on October 31, 2011. For upcoming new features please have a look at our roadmap.

The current stable release deegree 3.1.1 was built on November 15th, 2011.
This is an official and tested release.

3.1.1 |
(1) Multi-operating system download that contains a bundled Apache Tomcat container. Just unpack the archive and fire up the starter for your operating system.
(2) Web archive download suitable if you already have a servlet container on your machine.
How to enable an example configuration:
Starting with deegree 3.1, you can download example configurations (workspaces) from the services console:
Start the deegree webservices package and point your brother to the webapp page (usually reachabble at http://localhost:8080).
- Log in to the services console using the default password 'deegree'.
- Go to the workspace section by clicking 'workspace'.
- Download a desired workspace by clicking 'Import' beside the workspace name (in section 'Import an official workspace').
- Activate the downloaded workspace by clicking 'Start' beside the workspace name (in section 'Inactive workspaces').
If you have trouble downloading a workspace, you may need to setup your proxy settings first (section 'proxy').
In case you want to connect to an oracle database you will need
the deegree oracle dialect
- the ojdbc6*.jar of your oracle installation
which must be added to your webapp/WEB-INF/lib
1.2. Archive: 3.0 (Celsius)
The previous stable version of deegree was released on May 6th, 2011 (version 3.0.4).
This is an official and tested release.
Before installing, please check the system requirements for deegree 3.

How to get a deegree service configuration:
Starting with deegree 3.1, there's only a single download for the deegree webservices package necessary. In order to get one of the preconfigured deegree services (WMS, WFS, WPS, CSW) configuration setups, so called workspaces (e.g. "deegree utah-workspace" known from deegree 3.0 as "deegree utahDemo") please use the services console by following these steps:
1. Start the deegree webservices package and point your brother to the webapp page.
2. Log in to the services console using the default password 'deegree'.
3. Go to the workspace section by clicking 'workspace'.
4. Download a desired workspace by clicking 'Import' beside the workspace name (in section 'Import an official workspace').
5. Activate the downloaded workspace by clicking 'Start' beside the workspace name (in section 'Inactive workspaces').
